We here at St. John’s would like to invite you to our church at anytime. Here you will find a Christ-centered Divine Service that announces the grace of God to all sinners. Please browse our website to find out about the different groups in our congregation. You will also find many opportunities to be in contact with Christ’s words and sacraments. | Jesus Cares Minsitry Coming Soon |
St. John's will be beginning a Jesus Cares Ministry. JCM is for those with developmental disabilities. The plan is to put on events with games, activities and most importantly, the message of sins forgiven by Jesus Christ. We will hold two kickoff events in March. On Tuesday, March 6th we will meet at the Kilowatt Center in Granite Falls (600 Kilowatt Dr.) from 6:30-7:30 pm. On Thursday, March 8th, we will meet at St. John's in Wood Lake (130 3rd St) from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. We will then meet monthly through May with hopes to start up again in the fall with a solid program. El Greco’s famous crucifixion painting (to the left) is a fitting image for us here at St. John’s. El Greco portrays St. John, whom our church is named after, staring at Christ during his darkest hour. Think about what emotions and thoughts flooded John’s heart and mind at the foot of the cross! We who stand at the foot of the same cross behold the unlimited mercy and love of the Father as he gave his one and only Son to die in our place. It is love you will find nowhere else.
